GIS Application Guidelines and Procedures

Applications Overview

Parents of children interested in applying to GIS are encouraged to review the information below and contact us directly for an admissions consultation.

Students at GIS study in an international environment using English as their primary means of communication. Students who seek admittance, for whom English is a second, or third language, may be required to attend ESL classes after school.

Applications and students are accepted on a rolling basis if space is available. GREGG International School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, creed, or culture.

GIS offers two courses of study:
International Course and Bears Course

International Course
The international course is designed for native or near native English speakers, i.e. students for whom at least one parent is a native English-speaker or the student who speaks English at a proficient level as assessed by the course teacher.
The curriculum for all grades focuses on the student's academic and personal growth.

Bears Course
For families who wish to educate their child in English but do not speak English at home GIS offers the Bears Course. This two-year course of study is designed to give non-English speaking children the opportunity to learn from an early age.
Students may move from the Bears Course into the mainstream International Course by teacher recommendation.
