Practicing for the Tokyo Spelling Bee!

I cannot write in English, because of the treacherous spelling. When I am reading, I only hear it and am unable to remember what the written word looks like. Albert Einstein

You can use a band-aid to treat small cuts and a bandage for larger injuries. But what should you do if you are stung by a bee—specifically, a spelling bee? (Facepalm for the bad joke.)

Six lucky students have been “stung” by the spelling bee, and now they can’t stop spelling. Several times a week, our enthusiastic spellers get together to practice for the upcoming competition. These dedicated students spend extra time studying new words and doing mock bees at school. We start off with easy words, then move on to trickier ones, such as homophones, words with silent letters, and extra-long words. Each day makes us more prepared than the last. Wish us luck!
