There are only three primary colors, and if we mix these three colors together, we can get an infinite number of colors. If we a paint with these colors, we can make any painting in the world. Grade 3 has been learning about the primary colors, how they mix to form secondary colors. Then we moved on to relationships between colors and how to use them to make art.
What is it called if you place a purple next to a yellow, or a blue next to an orange? What happens if you put a bit of green next to a red? What do you call the group of colors such as red, yellow, orange that when you put them together cause an energizing effect in our brains?
