As Japan celebrates the Universal Exposition in Osaka this year, we’re bringing the spirit off global discovery to GIS! Inspired by this world-class event, our 2025 Summer School invites children on their very own exciting adventure — a journey into the wild with the theme: “World Animals Expo”!

Why not venture into the icy Arctic or deep into lush jungles? Students will discover amazing creatures and their habitats while exploring science, geography, and storytelling through fun, engaging classes and outside activities.

Whether they’re roaming desert dunes or diving into ocean depths, children will learn how animals adapt, work together, and show us the beauty of Mother Nature.

Over almost 6 weeks, Kindergarten and Elementary students will let their imaginations run wild as they learn about the animal kingdom—big and small, furry and feathered, real and legendary!

この盛り上がりに 乗って、GISでは今年のサマースクールのテーマを「ワールド・アニマル・エキスポ」 としました。今年も、ワクワクの冒険が始まります！

氷に覆われた北極や、緑豊かなジャングルの奥深く。または砂漠を歩いたり、海の深くに潜って。子どもたちは動物たちがどのように暮らし、生きているのかをアクティビティがいっぱいの楽しい授業で学びます。

大きな動物、小さな動物、ふわふわもトゲトゲも。実在する動物だけでなく、伝説や物語などに登場するさまざまな生き物についても取り上げていきます。

約6週間にわたり、子どもたちは想像力をめいっぱい膨らませて、動物と一緒に世界を探検します。この学びを通して子どもたちは、多様性の美しさに出会うでしょう。

Period: Monday, June 23, 2025 to Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
Ages: 2 – 12 years old

•  Full Day (9:00–14:30): 10,500 yen/day
•  Half Day (9:00–12:00): 8,000 yen/day
•  Full Day with Childcare
  • 9:00–17:00: 13,500 yen/day
  • 9:00–18:00: 14,700 yen/day
• Morning Childcare (8:00–9:00): 1,200 yen/day

Discounted Weekly Tuition

• Full Day: 47,000 yen/week
• Half Day: 36,000 yen/week
• Full Day with Childcare until 5pm: 57,000 yen/week

For Elementary students, we will once again offer EIKEN preparation classes during the same period, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Lunch
Orders close on June 16 for 1st session (no requests accepted after) and July 14 for 2^nd session (no requests accepted after)

Bus
Applications will close on June 9 for 1st session / July 7 for 2^nd session.
Bus service is available for those who register for one-week bases.

Pick-up service is available in Meguro Ward, Ikejiri, Mishuku, Sangenjaya, Wakabayashi, Kamiuma, Komazawa, Futakotamagawa, and Fukasawa areas in Setagaya Ward. (*Weekly usage only.)

From the desert dunes to the depths of the ocean, animals teach us about adaptation and teamwork. This Summer School, students will set off on a thrilling adventure to discover creatures from every continent—and what makes them so special!

Through hands-on projects, art, and games, children will learn how animals live, communicate, and survive in the wild. They will learn about habitats, animal life and their role in our Ecosystem.

Along the way, they’ll also develop critical thinking, empathy, and an appreciation for our planet’s rich variety of life.

Let’s take a walk on the wild side—because learning is wilder (and way more fun) with animals!

砂漠から海のずっと深くまで。動物たちは驚くべき能力や美しさを教えてくれます。今夏のサマー・スクールで子どもたちは、世界中の生き物たちに出会うエキサイティングな冒険に出発します！

動物がどんな環境でどのようにコミュニケーションをとり、野生でどのように生き抜くのか。1日または1～2日ごとに完結する分かりやすいプロジェクトで、様々な地域や角度から学んでいきます。
学ぶ過程で動物に共感したり、またはクリティカル・シンキングにたどりついたり。私たちが住む地球の数えきれないほどの生き物を通して、たくさんの世界を学んでみたいと思います。

さあ、野生の世界を歩いてみましょう。動物と一緒に学ぶことは、きっとワイルドで楽しいに違いありません。
