Winter Fun and Frolics at GiS!

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. Where the treetops glisten and children listen, to hear sleigh bells in the snow.” – White Christmas

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Gregg International School! We’ve been enjoying the festive season here at GiS with lots of festive Christmas activities and celebrations. It was heartwarming to see our students having so much fun at the end of what has been a difficult year.

On December 11th, the last day of school, we had a very special visitor stopping by at school…Santa Claus! Santa came and very kindly handed out presents to all of our Kindergarten and Elementary students! Santa Claus could tell that everyone had been a good boy and girl this year. Everyone was so excited to meet Mr. Claus and receive their special gifts from him. We also had Christmas parties in our individual classrooms during the day, being sure to maintain social distance and hygiene. The students had a very enjoyable last day of term!

GiS Winter School was a fun-packed week and a half! We had a whole host of fun and festive Winter activities for our students from Kindergarten to Elementary. Students had lots of fun with their friends on a bouncy house. We also had piles of beautiful winter crafts to keep us busy. We got green with two eco-art projects – a winter scene made from bottle caps by G5-6 and newspaper snowmen from G4. Students also decorated gingerbread cookies! The highlight of the week was the GiS Winter Market on the last day of Winter School, December 23rd! Students were so excited to go shopping for tree ornaments, and yummy snacks and drinks with special GiS “money”. They also got to play winter themed games in our games corner. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.
